The Level I student will be able to work safely protecting self and others, including workplace equipment and facilities. Responsibilities, as they apply to Provincial and Federal legislation and health and safety standards in industry including WHMIS, OHSA will be identified. The student will know how to use emergency safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, will understand how to safely handle and store hazardous materials, such as cleaners and solvents, and properly use equipment and hand tools.
