This reportable will be a practical application of workplace practices and procedures in accordance with governmental safety regulations, approved industry standards and equipment manufacturers recommendations and specifications. The student will be able to identify essential fundamentals of workplace information accessing, parts look-up and warranty control systems. Techniques used to communicate effectively and ensure customer satisfaction will be identified. Precision and non-precision measuring tools will be used and maintained. Seals, adhesives, fasteners and thread repair methods and discussed and applied. The student will also review appropriate trade calculations such as metric/imperial conversions. Basic heating, cutting and welding procedures using oxyacetylene and ARC welding equipment will be safely performed.
