Our listings will provide you with the names of landlords in the city of Sault Ste. Marie who are willing to rent to students.               PLEASE NOTE:  Sault College does not verify the information provided by landlords in these listings.  

Types of Accommodation

Although the services vary widely, there are four main types of housing available. Please click on the link to bring up a listing of available accommodations.

Room and Board (RB) - shared accommodation, some or all meals provided
Light Housekeeping (LH) - shared accommodation, cooking facilities provided
Apartments (APT) - self-contained
Houses (HSE)

The following abbreviations are used in the listings:

Neg - Negotiable
Mo - Month
Gender - NP - No Preference, M - Male, F - Female
Smoker - NP - No Preference, N - No, Y - Yes
Furniture - F - Furnished, P - Partly Furnished, U - Unfurnished
Y - Yes, N - No
RB - Room and Board
HSE - House
APT - Apartment
LH - Light Housekeeping

For more information on your rights as a tenant, visit the Landlord and Tenant Board website. 

Please note that if a tenant and landlord share a bathroom or kitchen (such as light housekeeping and room and board) the Residential Tenancies Act does not apply.  In this case, it is recommended that the landlord and tenant agree in writing to household rules, etc. in advance.
